However, in Boseman’s case, he was the only actor to bring T’Challa to life, making the decision more complex. Some fans and industry insiders argue that recasting T’Challa would have been the respectful choice—honoring Boseman’s legacy without erasing the character. A widely shared sentiment is that Boseman himself would have wanted the character to continue existing, resisting being confined solely to his portrayal.
