Most troubling is the claim that Lisenko, the CEO, allegedly manipulated the founder and chief creative officer into signing over ownership rights, effectively stealing the IP from the team’s original creators. As the staff's frustrations mounted, they attempted to raise concerns with publisher Focus Home Interactive but alleged the publisher was ignorant of or unwilling to intervene in the ongoing abuse and theft.

The exodus was so pronounced that the development team, once fervently working on the game, had entirely disbanded, leaving the Aeon Must Die! project in limbo.
