Layer one and layer two blockchain projects show mixed activity during the week. Cosmos experienced a 100% increase in active developers, reflecting renewed interest. Conversely, layer two protocols like Optimism and Arbitrum failed to show significant growth, with some of them declining in weekly user activity.
Interestingly, the so-called “layer zero” protocols, promoted as the future of blockchain scalability and interoperability, have seen a sharp decline in activity. This suggests that the hype around multi-layer solutions may be waning, and simpler, more direct approaches could dominate.
