Her insistence on learning sign language is dismissed as an irrelevant bureaucratic obstacle, further turning a meaningful representation into a cheap gag. The officers and soldiers showcase stereotypes—aggressive men ready to shoot first, women portrayed as manipulative or incompetent—reinforcing tired tropes rather than offering nuanced personalities.
