The recent CinemaCon event, often touted as a gathering of industry leaders and stakeholders, instead exposed a bubble of complacency and misplaced priorities. This conference, under the guise of "refreshing the future" and "navigating Gen Z trends," revealed a fundamental disconnect between Hollywood's leadership and the realities of contemporary moviegoing audiences. Rather than address the core issues plaguing cinemas—such as declining attendance, the quality of content, and shifting viewer preferences—the industry seems stuck blaming external factors, old formulas, and superficial solutions.
