The supposed romance between the Doctor and another alien character is cringe-inducing, resembling adolescent fanfiction. It includes reckless proposals, shallow emotional exchanges, and superficial bonds founded solely on mutual loss and shared tears. The episode offers no real development or depth to their relationship, rendering it more of a sexual fantasy than meaningful storytelling.
