Part 7/10:
Her villainy is reduced to superficial spectacle: she feels more like a high-society diva than a true threat. This oversimplification results in a villain who feels cartoonish and forgettable, rendering the central conflict between good and evil hollow and unengaging.
The Unfortunate Use of CGI and the Dwarves
Perhaps the most criticized aspect of the remake is the treatment of the Seven Dwarves. The animated characters, with their charming exaggerated gestures and unique personalities, are iconic and endearing. In this live-action adaptation, they are rendered through motion-capture CGI, which falls flat on every level. The result is a distracting visual spectacle that never captures the warmth or authenticity of the original.
