Martin Scorsese’s infamous critique of Marvel movies as “theme park rides” rings increasingly true in this context. Although initial Marvel films had a sense of uniqueness, as more films follow the same formula, they lose the elements that set them apart. The diversity and emotional authenticity that once defined the MCU are being sacrificed for familiarity and broad appeal.
