In stark contrast, Brave New World appears to abandon these qualities. Instead of a cohesive narrative, it offers a series of disconnected vignettes, all seemingly stitched together solely to fill release schedules. The film lacks a central story, meaningful stakes, or a protagonist with agency. Sam Wilson, who takes up the mantle of Captain America, is relegated to a reactive role, existing only to witness and respond to events rather than to shape them. Unlike Steve Rogers—who grappled with moral dilemmas and personal sacrifices—Sam's character arc is absent, leaving viewers with a protagonist who is passive and unengaged.
