Part 7/12:

Music is integral to The Lion King’s enduring legacy. Songs like "Hakuna Matata" and "Be Prepared" are lively, emotionally charged, and deeply tied to the film’s narrative and character development. Their vibrant choreography, dynamic visuals, and expressive performances deepen audience engagement.

In live-action remakes, however, these musical moments often feel disconnected and subdued. The animals’ photorealistic forms can't convincingly dance or express musical energy, resulting in scenes that lack the joyous spontaneity of the animated original. For instance, Scar’s "Be Prepared" sequence is reduced from a theatrical, visually exaggerated spectacle to a dull monologue, weakening its memorability and menace.
