Recently, with a new Transformers film featuring a younger version of Optimus Prime, cast member Chris Hemsworth’s voice was used to portray a less experienced Prime. Despite his talent, Hemsworth’s voice lacked the gravitas and authority Cullen’s voice commands. Cullen’s delivery—such as when Optimus speaks about leadership and justice—gives fans chills because it sounds like a genuinely wise and heroic figure. Altering that voice breaks the connection, highlighting how Cullen’s portrayal has become the defining and irreplaceable essence of Optimus Prime.
