The pivotal reunion between Sabine and Ezra, which should be the emotional climax, falls flat due to poor buildup. The scene feels rushed, and the dialogue is uninspired, stripping the moment of its potential for emotional resonance. Such scenes require careful crafting to evoke genuine feelings, but Ahsoka misses this entirely, leading to an underwhelming payoff.
Similarly, the series’ handling of Ahsoka’s reflections on her relationship with Anakin is superficial. Rather than exploring her internal struggle with the legacy of her master, moments involving Anakin feel like shallow fan service, diminishing their potential depth. Filoni could have used flashbacks or introspective sequences to depict her grappling with her feelings, making her character arc more compelling.
