Filoni's oversight is evident in not fully leveraging characters’ legacies and relationships. For instance, Anakin’s influence on Ahsoka is a central theme that could have been explored more profoundly. Instead of disjointed cameos, more detailed flashbacks or internal conflicts could have been employed to deepen her character.
Similarly, Thrawn’s reintroduction could have been used as a pivotal plot point to challenge the heroes tactically, heightening tension and excitement. These missed opportunities result in a series that feels superficial, lacking the depth necessary for a compelling story.
