For those unfamiliar, the Disney Channel Games was an annual event designed as a mini Olympics for Disney stars. It brought together the cast members of various Disney shows—such as Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and the Jonas Brothers—and pitted them against each other in silly competitions like obstacle courses and relay races. Filmed in Disney parks, primarily at Disney World in Orlando, the event was ostensibly a lighthearted, competitive summer camp for young stars.
However, many who participated remember it differently. Stars describe the experience as intense, sweaty, and at times uncomfortable, especially given Orlando's oppressive heat in August. Participants would usually spend their days competing and their nights enjoying the parks—often walking on rides with minimal waits.
