The MRT’s high-tech operations have already delivered noticeable reductions in congestion, particularly during peak hours. Plans also include better pedestrian infrastructure, such as shaded walkways, and the potential implementation of congestion charges similar to London and Singapore, to discourage unnecessary car use.
