Fifty years ago, the ocean was a mysterious, weightless realm where immersion brought serenity and awe. For XJ, a passionate wildlife photographer and diver, the ocean was also a place of personal conquest. Five years prior, at a depth of 38 metres, they faced a life-changing incident that nearly ended their relationship with the sea. Yet, the call of the ocean proved too strong, and four years later, with a camera in hand, XJ returned to capture its wonders, resulting in an accolade: the Nature Photographer of the Year.
