Part 4/10:
After fueling up, the adventure continues with a short ferry ride across the Changi ferry terminal to Pulau Ubin—a rustic island famed for its biodiversity and preserved traditional village lifestyle. The ride across the water takes only about ten minutes, but it transports visitors into a different era, where wooden houses line quiet streets and the rhythm of island life remains untouched by urban development.
On Ubin, Amos reconnects with old friends, including seasoned boatman Brother John, who has transported villagers and tourists for over two decades. Amos and his son then split up: Amos plans to meet friends and explore the island’s vibrant community, while Heirul joins Ningxin from the Nature Society for a cycling trail through mangroves and forested nature reserves.
