Perhaps the most provocative idea emerging from Webb's discoveries is that our universe may exist inside a black hole. The concept suggests that what we perceive as the universe's origin—the Big Bang—might have been the event horizon of a colossal black hole in a broader "parent" universe. Instead of an absolute beginning, our universe could be just one "bubble" in a multiversal landscape, born from the death or rebirth of another cosmos.
