Part 6/10:
Aeron’s innovative spirit extends beyond the kitchen. Recently, she collaborated with Yew Lee Metal Works to develop a custom torch attachment for quick grilling—an invention inspired by Japanese techniques used to sear marshmallows and crustaceans. She’s passionate about exploring local craftsmanship, aiming to produce tools in Singapore rather than relying solely on imports from Japan. Her drive to innovate is also reflected in her creative use of Singaporean ingredients, such as local biscuits and fresh mustard leaves grown nearby to substitute for wasabi, surprising and delighting both judges and guests.
