He answered politely but clearly felt insulted and confused, highlighting how the traditional social script has become so warped that genuine, organic interactions are almost unfathomable.
Another instance involved a young man offering his Snapchat instead of his phone number, a signaling of disinterest masked as a social courtesy, yet it illustrates how men are now conditioned to be wary and cautious or risk being perceived as inappropriate or vulnerable.
