In Kai’s case, scammers used fake police reports, staged photos, and staged arrests to coerce him into compliance. The victim’s belief that they are dealing with authentic officials makes resistance incredibly difficult. Once a victim is convinced, they are manipulated into isolating themselves, transferring money, or even staging their own "kidnapping" to appease the scammers.
