Political and Infrastructure Complexities
Myanmar's situation is further complicated by political tensions and ongoing conflicts involving ethnic armed groups and government forces. Many affected areas are zones of protracted conflict, making humanitarian access challenging. Pre-existing displacement—over a million people—has worsened with the earthquake, making relief efforts even more complex.
