Given its success, eager audiences anticipated a sequel. Warner Bros. quickly greenlit a follow-up with a promised release date set for October 2025. However, that plan was short-lived. The project has since been plagued with repeated delays, culminating in a nearly five-year waiting period, now scheduled for October 2027. The delays are so extensive that many industry observers believe the window for a compelling continuation may have closed.
