In Sona, Malaysia, the team met with local marine biologist Dr. Advi to understand the site conditions, measuring parameters such as pH (8.48), salinity (34.41 ppt), and temperature (30.35°C). Notably, the seabed was found to be barren, consisting primarily of sand, with scant marine life—indicating a potentially suitable environment for establishing new aquaculture systems.
