Part 4/6:
Significantly, the Housing Development Board (HDB) of Singapore boasts the largest 3D printer in Southeast Asia. This impressive equipment is actively used to produce small-scale construction components, such as furniture and preliminary building modules. These smaller projects serve as proof of concept and help develop the industry’s familiarity with 3D printing's capabilities.
Limitations and Future Outlook
Despite these advancements, constructing entire buildings or flats solely with 3D printing technology remains a challenge. Currently, the technology is not yet mature enough to completely replace traditional construction methods for large-scale residential developments. However, ongoing improvements in 3D printing technology are expected to gradually close this gap.
