Part 3/9:
Technology Meets Emotion: Recording Life Through AI
Alison connected with StoryF, a pioneering company specializing in "Grief Tech"—a term encompassing technologies designed for grieving, memorialization, and legacy-building. Co-founded by Steven Prof, who has a background in working with Holocaust survivors’ stories, the company develops conversational AI models that can replicate a person’s manner of speaking and respond based on pre-recorded answers.
Prof shares, “We started working on this about ten years ago, initially to help Holocaust survivors record their stories for future generations. Now, we adapt the same concept to preserve personal memories, especially for those facing terminal illnesses.”
