Historically, Hamandi was a cradle of musicians, dancers, and craftsmen, home to Pakistan’s oldest music markets. Over a hundred music shops lined its streets, nurturing a rich tradition of instrument-making, including the famous Gungru creators—craftsmen who shaped instruments like the Gungru from scratch, using delicate materials such as Bell metal, tiny balls, and intricate craftsmanship.
