Actor Mark Idstein, who worked alongside Madison, shared his perspective, explaining that their decision to keep the scene small—without an intimacy coordinator—was based on a desire to maintain intimacy and authenticity. He described the experience as "very positive" and suggested that, at least in their case, removing unnecessary mediators allowed the actors to feel more natural and relaxed.
Director Sean Baker and producer Sami Quan also expressed support for a more actor-centric approach. Baker commented that Madison wears her nudity "more like a costume," implying that her comfort and professionalism allowed for a more relaxed environment. He noted that empowering actors to make those choices can sometimes be beneficial, even if it diverges from the current norm.
