Part 6/9:
Hana’s journey takes her to the family cemetery, where she witnesses the graves of her ancestors, including Sultan Hamemed II, who played a crucial role in preserving her family’s heritage. Sultan Hamemed II was also instrumental in the political development of Indonesia, notably as a co-creator of the Garuda Pancasila, symbolizing national unity.
The current Sultan of Pontana, Sultan Melvin Mahmud Alcadri, is Hana’s young uncle, who continues to honor the legacy. He resides in a humble palace now open to the public, a stark contrast to the once-glorious royal residence. Hana’s visit to the palace and meeting with her uncle provide a personal connection to her roots, grounding her understanding of her identity amidst the modern Indonesian state.
