The Challenge of Predicting Turbulence
Pilot testimony and aviation experts agree that most turbulence, especially clear air turbulence, remains inherently unpredictable with current technology. Unlike weather systems that can be tracked via radar detecting water vapor, clear air turbulence occurs in cloudless skies and involves no visible water vapor.
