Part 2/10:
The establishment we see today has been operated by a family for approximately 140 years, with the current owner being the fifth generation. The inn was inherited in the aftermath of World War II, during times when the region faced economic hardships and environmental challenges. The continuous use of the hot spring, where hot water emerges directly from the earth, exemplifies Japan's deep-rooted onsen culture—an integral aspect of the nation's identity. Visitors are invited to disrobe (taking a bath in the nude, which is customary in Japan), and experience the soothing mineral-rich waters, with the temperature carefully regulated to around 42°C for comfort.
