While exploring pet-related content online, she encountered a disturbing pattern: dead dogs washed up along Hong Kong’s shores. Initially believing these incidents to be isolated, she soon uncovered that such occurrences were happening with troubling frequency. The first discovery was made on a local beach, where carcasses marked the beginning of a series of similar incidents. Subsequent findings included a carcass containing three dogs on a southern island and later, a cage washed ashore in Lantau containing a dog and two cats.
