The percentage of female series leads grew by 4%.
The proportion of writers who are POC increased by 3%.
However, during this period, the percentage of white employees dropped by approximately 3.6%, with a slight decrease in Black employees as well. The legal group suggests that these shifts may largely be the result of enforced DEI initiatives rather than voluntary or merit-based hiring. Moreover, they point out that Disney's internal documents may aim to inflate the diversity figures while obscuring the decline in white, Christian, and Jewish representation.
