Controversies in Modern Music and Cultural Politics
The Censorship of Kanye West's Album
Kanye West’s latest album has once again become a battleground for free speech, censorship, and corporate interference. Amid his notorious controversial persona, Vultures was briefly removed from Apple Music due to disputes between his distributor, Fuga, and streaming platforms. The removal occurred unexpectedly during a live broadcast, leaving viewers in the dark. Fuga had made arrangements to remove the track from all services, citing violations of their service agreement, but later reinstated it once Kanye found a new distributor, Label Engine.
