Origins and Early Days

The story of Metro Station begins with chance encounters and a shared beginning on the set of Hannah Montana. Both founders, Trace and the speaker, met at age 16 when their siblings were cast on the popular show. Having recently moved to Los Angeles—Trace from Texas and the speaker having traveled back and forth since age 12—they bonded over their new environment.

When asked about their first impressions of LA, the speaker describes it as "magic," contrasting it with the reality of Hollywood as a city built on "piles of lost dreams."
