One notable example is Mr. Chan, the first Vietnamese to work at the Shirakabeso inn in the Izu region of Shizuoka Prefecture—a picturesque area known for its natural beauty and literary heritage. Despite the initial challenges posed by language barriers and adjustment to a new environment, Mr. Chan is gradually settling into his role, exemplifying the resilience of foreign workers in Japan.
