Escalation into Wider Resistance
By August 2024, opposition activities intensified as protesters organized a more formal movement to demand Hassina’s resignation and the overthrow of her government. A non-cooperation campaign gained momentum, with calls for citizens to boycott taxes, bills, and workplaces. Clashes between security forces and protesters persisted, culminating in tragic deaths and injuries.
