The debate is not about denying the rights or dignity of transgender individuals. Most people agree that "no decent person wants to see transgender people bullied, threatened, or humiliated." Compassion for transgender individuals is widely appreciated. However, compassion should not translate into capitulation that compromises the safety and dignity of women.
