Unfortunately, the initial concept faced significant hurdles. The leaked costume design, featuring bright neon-blue Lycra and pants, diverged wildly from traditional portrayals and did not inspire confidence. Wonder Woman's costume is a touchstone of her identity, and this new design seemed to alienate fans rather than excite them. Moreover, the pilot's plot felt disconnected from what viewers expected of the character—more akin to a legal drama than a superhero story.
