Many of these agreements serve varied national interests: Saudi Arabia seeks economic diversification and regional stability, while Iran aims to reduce sanctions impact.
The U.S.'s diminishing role in the Middle East, coupled with its energy independence, seems to have created space for China to expand its influence. Yet, the peace initiatives remain fragile, and the underlying conflicts persist.
