Part 2/11:
Historically, masculinity was associated with strength, muscle, and athleticism. Young boys aspired to bulk up, develop broad shoulders, and project physical power. However, the current trend defies this norm. Instead of striving for the "buff" appearance, many Gen Z boys are targeting a more delicate, almost fragile figure, inspired by celebrities like Timothy Shalamé, who recently gained weight for a role but is often seen in his lean, ultra-thin state. These boys idealize a look characterized by thinness, and in some cases, near emaciation, aiming to look as insubstantial as possible.
