Media Scaremongering and Public Perception
Historically, Hollywood and mainstream media have attempted to frame Walsh's projects as controversial or dangerous. For instance, during the release of Joker, fears of incel violence led to theater closures and security measures. Similarly, Sound of Freedom was dubbed by some as a QAnon-affiliated conspiracy film, attracting attention from certain demographics but also resulting in attempts to undermine its screenings.
These tactics seem intended to generate fear and controversy, but often have the opposite effect, drawing more attention to the films.
