Surveillance Footage and Video Retrieval Challenges
Another key aspect of the investigation involves obtaining additional surveillance footage. Authorities have video from the front door camera but have been unable to retrieve footage from other Google Nest cameras inside Guthrie’s home. NewsNation correspondent Brian Anton spoke with Sheriff Chris Nanos, who explained that Google is still working to provide access to these images. The process is complex: the video data exists in the cloud and requires technical efforts to extract and analyze.
