Sam emphasized that Tesla, especially in terms of its technological readiness, is not yet poised for a merger. The company's chips and autonomous vehicle technology (like RoboTaxi) are still in development and are unlikely to mature within the next couple of years. Moreover, prematurely merging could harm Tesla shareholders, who would experience significant dilution—possibly around 50%—if SpaceX were combined at current valuation levels.
