The Process of Men Exercising Choice
This shift marks a historic turning point. For the first time, men are actively reading the "contract" of relationship and family life and opting out of unfavorable terms. Historically, men were expected to accept any deal—regardless of the risks—because societal and biological imperatives pushed them toward procreation and partnership.
The current reality is different. Men are asking what value they bring and whether it's worth the emotional, financial, and legal toll. Many are concluding that the benefits no longer outweigh the risks, leading to a significant retreat from traditional roles.
