In October, the band announced that German drummer Anakah Niles would replace the late Neil Peart behind the drums—a poignant choice honoring Peart's legacy. Alongside this, Geddy Lee, Rush's bassist and vocalist, expressed the band's intention to expand their sound by adding "another musician or two," prompting speculation about live additions to the lineup.
Today, that speculation is confirmed. Rush's 2027 tour will see Lauren Gold joining them on stage, with Lee noting that both Gold and Niles are learning around 40 songs to ensure a dynamic and ever-changing setlist. Fans can expect a concert experience that balances classic Rush tracks with fresh energy and improvisation.
