Part 3/13:
First, the brain functions as a record of the past—an autobiographical archive built from our experiences, memories, relationships, and learned behaviors. Every person, object, or location is connected to neural networks that carry emotional associations. When the brain feels out of balance—often due to stress—it enters a heightened, survival-oriented state. This state causes disorganized firing of neural modules, leading to incoherence, fragmentation, and a narrowed, self-focused consciousness.
