Standing at 6'6" and weighing nearly 275 pounds, Barry Windham was the embodiment of physical dominance. Born on July 4, 1960, in Sweetwater, Texas, Windham was trained by two of wrestling’s most respected figures—his father Blackjack Mulligan and Harley Race. On paper, he looked like the quintessential power wrestler, built to bulldoze through opponents with brute strength. Yet, what set Windham apart was his astonishing agility for his size. Vice Wrestling noted how he could grapple, work the mat, and keep pace with much lighter, faster men—an anomaly in the sport.
