The work of Ed Hussein, a prominent commentator on Muslim integration in Britain, sheds light on this troubling trend. During his visits to mosques across the UK, Hussein observed that many were predominantly influenced by first and second-generation refugees—individuals who had fled conflicts in countries such as Libya, Syria, Palestine, Pakistan, and Iraq. Some of these individuals, like the Abedi brothers responsible for the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, had a history of fighting jihadist conflicts during their youth.
