Ignoring demographic trends and family stability jeopardizes future economic vitality. The analogy of "eating seed corn" captures this danger—the population is the seed crop, and consuming it recklessly diminishes future harvests. Instead of viewing population growth as a resource to be exploited, society should recognize it as a vital asset to be nurtured.
The demographic decline has been partly driven by social policies that inadvertently reduced fertility rates. While promoting gender equality and individual choice is essential, it should not come at the expense of societal continuity.
